Post-Shift Calendar
The standard calendar in all nations acknowledges a Year Zero representing the year of the Shift. Dates are calculated forward from this time, often marked "PS", denoting "Post-Shift". Negative dates are used to represent years prior to the Shift.
Rarely, a date will be listed as TE or TRI, representing the pre-Shift "TRI-Era".

TRINN (TRI News Network)
TRI News Network, an independent division of TRI Corporation. TRINN’s near monopoly on news service dates from the middle decades of the post-Shift century. During that period, TRI Corporation’s nascent comm and gate networks represented the only real means of contact and communication among the nations.
Competing news agencies, such as the Imperial Information Service and the Zelcane Data Distribution Network, routinely complain that TRINN’s continuing ability to dominate international news markets is the result of unfair priority status within the TRI Corporation communications network. These allegations are persistent despite TRI Corporation’s binding treaties and contracts clearly declaring "net neutrality".
